We started the weekend off with a wedding. Our friends Maggie and Darren got married on Friday night. Everything was wonderful, and I honestly think they were the happiest couple I have ever seen at their wedding. Neither of them could stop smiling and Maggie looked beautiful. We had a great time, and hope the best for them!!!!
Saturday we took Kevin to his first movie, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. (Downtown Grandma was watching Colin while we were out. She took him on several walks and pushed him around in his cozy coup in the backyard. Needless to say, he was very happy.) First of all, both Kevin 2 and I laughed throughout the film. If you have to take your kid to a movie, this one will not bore you! Second, Kevin really had a good time. He sat in his daddy's lap almost the entire time, and got a few unhealthy snacks to eat. All was great until he thought that something had happened to the good guy of the film. He got quite upset, even though we reassured him that the good guy was okay. I think he just wanted the good guy to be okay. It was so sweet to see his concern.
That evening we went to my grandparent's (GGma and GGpa) for their 59th wedding anniversary. It was so nice to see my family. Kevin really enjoyed playing with the other children that were there. Colin spent most of the time pushing a doll stroller around and kept himself happy. (That kid loves strollers and goes crazy for them.) I always love getting together with my mom's family. There are always kids running around and plenty of food. The evening ended with Kevin telling my mom that he was going home with her. So, we get some alone time with Colin tomorrow now! I know he will love it... as long as there is a stroller involved.
