Kindergarten Life

Gwyn has been so tired lately. About 3 times a week she will put herself down to sleep. Sometimes it is before 5:00, sometimes it is right after dinner. She is just so sleepy. I will wake her for dinner, and sometimes she gets up to eat. Sometimes she wanders downstairs around 8 pm looking for food with messy hair and a sleepy face. Other times she will sleep until morning. I snapped one picture so I could remember it. Usually she is in her own bed, though.

Halloween Part 2

I just really want to remember this story.

Gwyn wore her Halloween costume to school for their Fall party. As I was helping her get dressed in the morning, she mentioned that her tights looked like she was wearing shorts. She said that the next time she has dance class, she can wear only her tights, and no shorts. I was just trying to get her dressed and all the kids out the door, so I didn't correct her. I just said "uh huh"and kept going.

(She was talking about the black part at the top of tights wear there is no pattern or sparkles. But they are still tights. And shear.)

Well, I got a text from her teacher. She said that Gwyneth was hot and asked to take off her dress during the party. She said she had shorts on underneath, and the teacher agreed. After about 20 minutes, Miss Glenn said that Gwyn walked past her and she saw Gwyn's underwear. That is when it occurred to her that Gwyn was NOT wearing shorts, but rather just her tights. At that point the party was almost over., so she just went with it. But she did get a picture for me. And it is ADORABLE!

Halloween

Yes, it is December, but I still want Halloween pictures up

Sadly, these are the only pictures I have of the kids this year. The first is their serious photo. Kevin is a Knight Terror, Colin is the Winter Soldier, and Gwyn is a witch. The second picture is the silly picture. I feel like Kevin won that one.

It was a really good Halloween. Kevin went up the street to walk around with friends. It was the first year he walked around without an adult. But one of the other moms stalked them a bit. I knew she would. :) She also gave her son his dad's iPhone, which had a tracker in it. She could look up the phone on a map and locate the boys at any time. And the neighborhood next to ours has so many trick or treaters, many of whom come from other neighborhoods. And there are lots of parents who sit in their garages or have fire pits in the driveway. So I felt like it was a good year for Kevin to get the freedom. Basically, they walked from Alex's house to our house and back.

Colin walked around with his friend Owen, who just moved a few houses away. So the only child we had for the evening was Gwyneth, and we invited Owen's little sister to join us. Gwyn stayed out longer than Kaitlin, longer than she ever has! So Kevin and I got to take turns passing out candy.

We are determined to get trick or treaters to our house. We had all kinds of decorations and lights up, and had spooky music playing on the front porch. We even passed out full size candy bars. But still we can not get kids to our house. We are on a side street that has about half the houses passing out candy. It is disappointing, but Kevin made up for it by sneaking up and scaring our neighbors. :)
