This weekend we put up most of our holiday decorations. I love putting them up. I wish we had more, and I am guessing we will over the years. Here are pictures of my favorite things.
The stairway/entryway
The front of the house. (Much better than 2 years ago when Kevin wanted to help!)
Gwyn has not yet mastered feeding herself. I blame it on her being a thumb sucker. She picks up her food fine, and has even started pinching to pick up, but the food rarely gets to her mouth. She usually brings her hand up, tries to put the food in her mouth, and then ends up sucking her thumb. (And since she sicks both thumbs, it is a lose-lose for us.) She is getting food in, I just can't wait for it to be more often!
Last Friday, somehow between lunch and dinner, Gwyn finally figured out how to crawl on her hands and knees. (She had been an army-crawler for a while.) She isn't too fast yet, but she is determined.
She has been pulling up for about three weeks too, so I put some of those pictures in as well.
Kevin was in Maryland 3 days last week for work. The boys were very excited to pick him up from the airport. They even wanted signs. Colin was okay reusing his from the marathon, but Kevin wanted a new one. Kevin told me that he wanted to see daddy in the airport and run up and give him a hug, which is exactly what happened. We freaked out just a bit because he came very close to running through the exit portion of the gates with security right there, but luckily the lady found him too cute to arrest. (Also, we were visibly trying to get him to stop.) Colin just gave him a big hug (no running) and Gwyn did the biggest leg kicks we had seen in days. (She kicks her legs when she gets excited.)
Kevin normally does not want his picture taken. As you may remember, there are several posts where all I get is his hand in front of his face.
At the zoo last weekend, there was a 5 minute period where I couldn't take a picture of Gwyn or Colin without Kevin jumping in front of the camera. I was cracking up the entire time. Here are just some of the photos I got! What a handsome kid!
I was going through older pictures we have and I started looking at some of our wedding photos. Here are a few of my favorites (that were taken with our camera).
I like how Tony and Jake are peeking over our shoulders. There were many pictures like this!
Since it was such beautiful weather on Sunday, we headed to the zoo. We figured it would be the last time we could go this year without being bundled up. It ended up being so warm that we were actually hot.
The boys decided that they wanted to bring their bear, cheetah and tiger so the animals could meet their zoo counterparts. They carried them around most of the day, and a few times Colin had his talking to the zoo animals. Gwyn had a period where she almost fell asleep, but then didn't. (I suspect it was just to spite us.) Luckily, she made it through the trip without major incident, and even ate a good lunch.
