T Ball Games

Here are some picture from the boys T ball games.  They had practice for 6 weeks, and now have "games," which really is just scrimmaging.  Each team has every player bat and run to first base.  The last batter gets to run all the way home. The team in the field just practices fielding the ball and throwing it to first base.  It is kind of adorable to watch. 

Here is Kevin on first base.  He is pretty good at hitting the ball.  He consistently hits it past second base.

Colin getting batting tips.  At the beginning of practices, Kevin would forget to tell the coaches that he is left handed, so we would have to remind him to tell them - often, usually in the middle of practice.  Once Kevin figured it out, Colin got confused and started telling the coaches that he bats like Kevin, which he does not.  After about 7 weeks, we got it all figured out.

Colin rounding third.  (The kid in the middle.)  He has much better form when running.  And I am surprised at how much he pays attention to the game!  They have about 5 coaches in the field just telling kids where to stand, or look, or throw, or even to stop playing in the dirt.  The coaches are VERY patient.

Okay, now go back and look at Colin in those photos.  I call him Darth Helmet when he is batting.  Anyone else think so?
