Gwyn went to her 15 month check-up a few weeks late, but here are the results.
Weight: 24.5 lbs. (85th %ile)
Height: 33 in. (99th %ile)
Head: I don't know the measurement, but it is the 45th %ile.
My first thought is that her hair must make her head look big, because she doesn't seem to have a small head. My second thought is I KNEW IT! This girl went from a size 4 shoe in the start of June to a size 6 shoe now. All her dresses are so short, and they are supposed to last a few more months. She grew an inch a month this summer so far - 3 inches in 3 months. She eats as much as her brothers at times. She is just growing and growing!
Another thing worth noting is her shots. When the boys would get shots, they would cry and then move on. Tears would flow, snuggles given, and then not another thought. Not with this girl. She cried when they were given, and then afterwards was doing the hysterical breathing thing with short, quick breaths. Then we weren't leaving the office fast enough, so she cried in a screaming way to let me know. Then when we got home, she saw her band-aids again and then cried more. She also apparently couldn't walk because of the trauma. She would look at the shot, shake her head no, and cry more, all while holding her leg, "attempting" to walk. I still haven't taken the last band-aid off since she gets so worked up. I will make Kevin do that!
As for development, the doctor asked if she knew three words (ummmmm, yes!), and surprisingly, (not) she is fine on language development. The doctor seemed impressed with her sign language as well! He loved that she signed "Kevin" and "Colin."
