Zoo Visit

Since the weather was not horrible, and more ice and snow was on the way, we decided to get out of the house this weekend. We went to the zoo, since we haven't been there in a while. (And since the kids see it when we drive down the highway and ask to return. By "ask" I mean yell.)

We had fun! It got colder the longer we were there, so by that time we headed to the indoor exhibits. Here are some pictures from our day out.

An exhibit of McGuires.

There were rats in here, which I said where the Rats of NIMH. (We just finished the book.) Colin was glad to hear that. (Bonus: 2 more kids.)

Gwyn was the captain of the ship. It looks kind of like dancing with a pole, but let's stick with captain.
The boys showing us the boy version of pirates. These do not dance.

Some very cool fella on a fish.

This sea lion loved playing with the kids! He was following the black case with his nose.
Gwyn liked the sea lions as well.

The second born on an animal.

The kids took many pictures while at the zoo. This was Kevin's favorite. It is Phil's butt. (Phil is in the picture above.)

The entire trip Colin was telling us facts about spider monkeys. He was happy to finally make it to see them.

After a few minutes we all wandered somewhere else. He stayed for over 15 minutes. He could have stayed much longer but we were hungry.

A picture I did not take! I am in one!

Gwyn put her own hat on in the car. Backwards.
