Colin dressed up as a giraffe and Kevin was a pirate. I was very surprised that Colin wanted to keep his hood on. He loved his costume. (Kevin grew tired of his pirate hat, and stopped wearing it. That is why it is not on in every picture.) On Saturday morning we went to visit my grandparents (GGma and GGpa). While there we saw Downtown Grandma and Aunts Mary and Amy, as well as cousins Rachel and Emily, who were Cleopatra and Supergirl.
After naps the boys headed to Pappy Grandma's (K1 and Louise) for the largest treat bags a Grandma and Pappy can give. There Kevin got into the "pumpkin pool."
We went trick or treating for over an hour. I had forgotten how slow trick or treating can be with two small kids. We did not get very far, but the boys had a fun, even though Colin got scared a few times. Back home, we had set up a fort that Kevin called our "haunted house." It was a normal fort (sheets, dining room table and chairs) but we hung bats and skeletons up. The boys also put their nightlights in there, as well as few flashlights and some Halloween books. Here is a picture of K2 reading to Kevin.
Here is one last picture of Colin at the end of the night. Kevin wouldn't let me take a picture of him eating his candy. (Of course.)
A special thanks to the Nordgaarden's. Thank you for bringing over Chase and Parker. It helped to keep our kids up late to better adjust to Daylight Saving Time!

Cute costumes! Kevin looks so grown-up, especially in the pumpkin picture. But isn't the sign supposed to say "treck or triat"?
Only when you visit SteveKerr.
