Kevin is Building!

Kevin received a building set as a gift. It is kind of like tinker toys for younger kids. He asked me for help and I told him that I wasn't going to build it, and if he wanted to play ten he would have to build it on his own. (His daddy told him the same thing.)

So Kevin got out the pieces, got out the directions, and started building. He only had a few problems when the depth of the picture wasn't clear, but that was it! He built it! He was so proud.


And the best part is that since he built is, he could fix it when it broke, or add new pieces to it!

This is what I get when I ask the kids to smile. One of these things is not like the other....

Sneaky Snuggler Adendum

Apparently, Gwyneth is sneakier than we thought. She has been snuggling with her blanket at daycare as well - and not just during nap time. Everyday this week she has crawled over to her crib, pulled her blanket out, and brought it over to the play area to snuggle with.

Does anyone have size 11 month pants?

Gwyn outgrew her size 9 month pants a while ago. She still fit in other clothing, but her jeans were the first to go. I got out all of her 12 month clothing a week ago and switched out the smaller clothes for bigger ones. Apparently, she is too big for 9 month, but too small for 12 month jeans. She proceeded to crawl out of them in just a few minutes.

He really wanted to help clean, but the vacuum is too loud for him. Here was daddy's solution:

Sneaky Snuggler

Last night Gwyn saw her blanket on the stairs. Since we have the stairs gated off (since she now tries to crawl up them) we thought she could not get her blanket. I turned down the hallway and saw her pulling it out from between the spindles. She then held it in her hand and sucked her thumb. (This is how she snuggles, with the blanket in the hand of the thumb she sucks. She still sucks both thumbs.)
