McKerr Weekend 2011 Part 2

We had our second McKerr weekend of 2011. (Here is the first one.) Since the last weekend, we have added two more children to the group - Olive and Gwyn. This weekend was the first for the kids to outnumber the adults. Once the sleeping arrangements were made, which were pretty creative, things went pretty smoothly.

Gwyn and Olive meet for the first time!

We arrived Friday night, and Kevin, Colin and Gywn all did great on the drive to KC. The next morning (after a 10 mile run for Steve and Kevin) we all headed to Science City. Kevin told me that he likes "all science things so I will like it." Here are a few pictures from the visit.

Both boys had to hold Hannah's hand.

Pretending to pilot the space shuttle. The boys really enjoyed doing this... for now.

LinkGwyn enjoyed being able to look around in her new sling.

Playing at the water table.

Thrilling game of "Speed Checkers."

Gwyn and Daddy

Stopping for fudge on the way out.

Same pose, different angle.

After naps (for almost everyone) we made dinner and played outside in the water. It was just too hot to go to the pool!

The next morning we headed to the best park I have been to. (Here and here is why.) It had several different areas of playground, most of which were shaded by large trees. Then it had a nature area, which a waterfall and stream and sand area to play in. They boys made a dam! Here are some pictures.

Here is the Kerr version of the trip. We can't wait until the next one!

1) Your picture of the kids holding hand is cuter than mine.
2) Colin crack. That's all I can say about that.
3) Gwyn in her swimsuit is adorable.
4) I need to stop commenting.

Colin may get you back when he gets older for the crack view. And some friends reminded us once, just remember the kids will be picking out your nursing home......

1) That is because Kevin took 20 pictures so I had plenty to choose from.
2)What more is there to say?
3)I was bummed all my pictures of both girls in their suits weren't that good.
4)Please don't you are the only person who regularly comments.
