Read Right And Run

Both boys ran in Read Right and Run this year. They have to read 26 books, do the right thing 26 times, and then run 26 miles. They run the miles one at a time, and the last mile is at the big event in Forest Park.

This year I didn't get any paper work on the events, and normally the school sends home a packet for the kids to keep track of the books and good deeds. About 3 weeks before the event I contact the school, since I asked the boys and neither said they received anything. But, of course, once the packets came home Colin said he had his. And he had already completed the reading portion on his own!

They each had friends in the race, and both really enjoyed the experience, and were proud of them selves. So I was happy. (Especially since the experience is not that great for the parents.)

Kevin ran with his friend Mason. Mason's little sister Maddie is the same age as Gwyn! Hopefully they will have the same teacher for kindergarten.

My mom came down on her scooter to watch the race.

Kevin running by!
