My Boot (Otherwise titled as: Dayum Girrl, that is a nice shoe!)

So for those who don't know, I feel down the stairs. On Halloween. It was a while ago. (I was a bit of a ninja when I fell. I was carrying Gwyn down the stairs in a laundry basket. When I was finished she was still in the basket.) Anyway, I thought I broke my toe. Just the pressure of the ice pack on my foot was too much to take that evening. And I heard a pop or snap as I was falling. Kevin had just broken his toe a few weeks before and the treatment is pretty much nothing. So I did nothing.

Well, as of January, it still hurt. I could not go up on my toes (like when I wear heals or walked up stairs) and parts still hurt to the touch. (I couldn't have my foot rest on its side when I was sleeping or it would hurt.) Well, someone finally pointed out to me that it might actually be hurt. So I finally went to the doctor. X-rays showed no break. But I did get to leave with this fashionable boot!

Now, I am wearing my standard snow-day gear in this picture - warm fuzzy fleecy pants. And every time I wear the boot I need to wear a wool sock since it is so freaking cold out! So yes, I wear this cool boot with a cool sock and then a normal shoe - usually a tennis show when I wear jeans. But when I work I have to wear slacks and a flat black shoe. But since none of the shoes I have are the same height as this cool boot, that means I get to walk around with one leg longer than the other. It is pretty awesome.

As of Friday, I had been wearing the boot for 4 weeks. That was how long I was told to wear it. If things were back to normal I was good to go. If not - I need to see a specialist. And the result is....

... it still hurts. The arch of my foot feels completely better. But I still can not really bend my toes. I do not want to see a specialist. I feel kind of ridiculous doing that. But I love to wear heals. Only time will tell....
