Gwyneth''s First Day of School

My school starts next Thursday, and it is (finally) time for me to head back to work. I have been incredibly lucky to have had 4 months with home with Gwyn. (She is 4 months old today! Can you believe it?) I have made it through the day without crying, but the day isn't over yet, and I may still break down. As for Gwyn, she had a pretty good first day!

Her teachers told me that she was a bit fussy this morning, but by lunch was having fun and talking. She passed out for 30 minutes in a swing, and again in the stroller this afternoon. I told them that I am not surprised she slept so little since she is so nosy. Apparently, another girl cheered and greeted Gwyn when she arrived this morning, and later on Gwyn was so excited to see a different girl that she was kicking her legs and squealing.

It says "Gwyneth had a great first day at school! She really enjoyed getting to know her new friends. Layla Mason greeted her as soon as she came through the door! Gwyneth also got a chance to meet some of the Explorers! She fits in great here! She has quite a personality! :)"

As for my day, I headed into school to unpack in my new room. My new room has more windows and a sink. However, the walls were not only a horrible shade of blue with yellow trim, but they were filthy, and there was a spot where an old cabinet had been painted around, so there was a random spot painted dark blue. Luckily, my room is getting painted Friday! Until then, I will continue to unpack the 50 or so boxes from my old room that my sub packed up at the end of last year.
