I am currently about 5 1/2 months (25 weeks) pregnant. Here is the news:
She loves to kick. She loves to kick when I rest or eat or don't eat or do anything. She is giving me heartburn. I have that every pregnancy, and the old wives tale is that heartburn is tied to babies with lots of hair. I can only prove that right. I am not sure what I would do with a bald baby, so here's hoping it she is working on the hair! I am starting to really feel big. Already. Ugh. I hope I don't get too giant. Movement it getting limited now as well. I am having some mood swings. It feels like more than previous pregnancies. You will have to ask Kevin, but if you want an honest answer, ask him when I am not around. But for the most part I feel great and finally have some energy.
Colin loves to put his hand on my belly and tell me that he feels "baby sister" kick him. He actually may have occasionally, but he says he does every time. He is still too young to really get it yet anyway. But he does know that his baby sister is in there "growing big." He asked me this weekend if I would "put her in my hands so I can hold her." He likes to tell me that when she cries he is going to "feed her" or "hold her." He is precious.
Kevin is excited about baby sister coming, but talks about it less. When I tell him she is kicking, he places his hand on my belly. The other day she actually kicked his hand. He looked at me so fast with his eyes wide open. It was shocking for him.
Both boys love taking care of baby sister already. They have these penguins we got from a zoo tour earlier this year. Last week they were both pretending to take care of her using the penguins. Here are a few pictures.
First I had to teach Kevin how to wrap a baby in a blanket without covering the face. (This was not my demand. He was getting frustrated and asked me to show him.) They liked to walk around with her and then both found a baby crib to lie the baby in.

Adorable! All of it! I got on the internet specifically to find you guys on the web. And I'm happy to find that you are still updating the blog. I have lost your phone number, I knew I should have put it in my phone immediately after getting that scrap paper. Anyway, all the baby gear is coming in quite handy. Evan especially enjoys the jumperoo!! Let me know when you're in need of everything and we'll plan a drop off :) Thanks for everything!
